crashnandicoot says: Born feral, Ursula now lives in the lap of luxury. With the help of Carol Manos from Carol’s Ferals, I was able to trap her. She had a large grub living in a wound in her tiny neck, which would have no doubt killed her. I was going to release her after she saw the vet, was spayed, and had a week of antibiotics (she was like a wild raccoon in our basement), but after 24 hours she began to purr! My husband let me keep her!! Ursula is now the dominant cat, despite two large male tabbies and one elderly female cat in the house. She would rather play than eat. Mostly she is super sweet!

Please consider taking the time to trap, neuter, and release the feral cats in your environs. Very likely there is someone in your city or town that will help you. An intact female cat, her mate, and their offspring can produce thousands of cats over the course of five years.

Very well said....we should all spay and neuter our pets or feral ones for that matter. Thank you for taking the time to save little Ursula and giving her a good home!

Bless you for saving and taking in such a darling kitty and thank you for spreading the word about feral cats! I recently moved into a house that had feral cats living in the backyard. With the help of the Feral Cat Coalition http://www.feralcat.com/ I was able to trap spay and release 4 cats. I still need to catch one then my colony will be contained.

I love all of my feral cats and now take care of the colony. I even manage to put flea control in their food so that they do not suffer from fleas.

I also beg others to take the time to trap, neuter, and release the feral cats in your area. With the help of my local organization it was easy to do.

She is adorable! I love this picture with her bald little belly from her spaying. I have one laying on my chest right now with the same bald little belly from spaying. God bless you for helping her and saving her from a sure death like so many ferals.

yes, the Abbysinian is the elderly female. She was 14 then and is now 16! Ursula is now 2 and is stunning. She is sleek and slender, but not skinny. Her coat is voluptuous! She's a beauty. Thanks for all of the wonder comments!

Looks like Ursala is enjoying "hanging out" with her older sibling. What a cute photo. Ursala is a pretty tuxedo cattie with a super white mask. Thank you for taking in this little beauty and taking such good care of her. This story made my day!

Ursula had been spayed the day prior to the photo of her with chloe. She was not feeling well and was chilled. The day snuggling with Chloe totally turned her around. By evening, she was feeling much better! She needed the feline hot water bottle!

Ursula needed that feline "hot water bottle"? Seems Chloe knew just what to do--spoon over her pal until Ursula felt better.

Sorry she wasn't feeling well after her spaying; I guess she instinctively knew to cuddle with something warm, though!! So glad she came through!!!!
