Gerald says: This little boy is an F1 Savannah bred from an African serval to an F1 Savannah female. He is super sweet and now living with a professional hockey player.
F1 means he is one step away from being wild and since both his parents are F1 I doubt if he was "super sweet" once he became full grown! I think he is a strikingly beautiful kitten but would need a very special handler once he became an adult so I hope the hockey player was strong enough and understood that and had no little kids!
A very pretty kitty, cute as a button, but I agree with the comments above; savannah cats are not recommended to live as pets until they are a couple of generations removed from the wild and have a serval grandparent only, not a serval parent.
I really am glad to see that some of these commenters know about breeding no-nos on this level. I was uneasy when I first saw this beautiful boy, and wasn't sure why.
i agree that he is a beautiful boy but why breed wild cats when there are so many fosters looking for homes. also purebreds need rescuing too. cannot think a cat with this much wild would be happy with a domestic life. celebrities and folks with money think it cool to have exotic (wild) pets. so sad.
