Momma Teresa's Kittens

I am a first time foster to eight kittens and mother cat Teresa! I saw a desperate plea on Facebook for help during kitten season and I knew I needed to help. All nine were about to be put down in a kill shelter and I couldn't stand the thought of it, so I made a snap decision to take them all in on May 13th, 2016. The three tortie kittens are Teresa's and named Pretty Paws, Lil Bit (the runt) and Bermuda. All three are sweet and love attention. There were also five orphan kittens: three black and two calico. Teresa immediately welcomed all of them and they were nursing on her within a couple of hours. I think she is strong, brave, loving and compassionate to take care of these five orphans and so I named her Teresa after Mother Teresa. The three black kittens are Shadow, for his shadow stripes, Knight, who is brave and Pepper, who always greets me at the door. The two calicos are Storm, the grey one who is a big ball of fun energy, and Calliope who loves to play with strings. I wake up an hour earlier in the mornings and spend an hour each night to help Teresa take care of them all, change the litter three times a day and continuously wash towels! They have brought so much joy to my life and they will be officially up for adoption June 18th through S.A.F.E Pet Rescue in St. Augustine, FL. They will have all their shots, spay/neuter and microchips. They love the Cat Dancer, ribbons, and crinkle balls. They snuggle up with each other, groom each other and they all love Teresa. It is hard to believe that all 9 of these cats wouldn't be here right now...I still can't quite wrap my head around it. It is a joy and privilege to have these beautiful, loving and fun cats in my life. I will miss them all and always remember this month with fondness.
