Samantha [3]

Samantha was given to me as a surprise birthday present by my coworkers. She was found in a burlap bag by the side of the road as a tiny kitten and taken to a shelter where my coworkers chose her for me. She was a very small kitty with wispy black fur and little did I know she would blossom into a beautiful poofy Persian-like cat that would be my best friend for almost 17 years!

I am already crying. Samantha RIP. At least you had so many years with her. I regret every moment since my Benny's horrible death--wanted to be with him forever.

In Benny's case, euthanasia was murder. He fought the end with every fiber of his frail little body. Wish I could unsee this. Only 8 years old, he had a stroke. If I had waited a bit, nature would have claimed him naturally. I was traumatised.
