Fernando says: While men make war... animals live in peace! Luli used to live in the same house together with the her cat sisters and their kittens and she helped all the other cat-mothers to deal with their offsprings. As far as I know she did it in three different occasions. Luli had been operated on so she couldn't have any puppies of her own and probably she decided to adopt the kittens as her own. But she knew they were not hers only because when Felicia the mother cat came in, Luli left the place to let her feed them. She just came to look after them when the mother was absent and the kittens' mother was so confident that she would leave her kittens with Luli! That's the most amazing part, and the kittens recognized Luli as part of the family. They were so close friends that they could sleep together especially during the winter months. Isn't it wonderful?

Luli lives in a different place now as her owner died last November and I had to take care of the house and the kittens, and Luli went to live with another person in another town. Felicia and the cats still live in the house and I feed them every day. Nowadays there are three little kittens and I feed them together with the grown-ups including male cats, and they let them eat at the same time from the same pot and they don't get mad at that. Of course there's always plenty of food so they don't have to fight for it. Greetings from Nueva Helvecia, Uruguay!

It seems the common denominator for peace on this planet is motherhood.
There would be no war, no hatred, no violence if the world were governed by mothers!

What a wonderful story! I'm sad to hear Luli was not able to have at least one litter of her own, but what a wonderful 'auntie' she turned out to be. And how wonderful that the mother cat trusted her with her babies. Do you have any more photos of this wonderful little family? Do you have any photos of the kitties growing up?

this pic reminds me of Pepperkins and Bailey(RIP). Bailey was a VERY large(not fat) Pit Bull we had who totally LOVED cats/kittens. Pepperkins was a feral we had aquired, Bailey helped me tame Pepperkins and her brother. When Pepperkins had her litter, he was right there the whole time, he even helped her clean them. I have a pic of him watching over her and her litter.

Of course these are domestic animals raised together, not in a natural situation. But it's darn cute and they obviously have wonderful owners.
