Jill says: Sprout and his sister were found outside and without their mom in mid November, when it is very cold here in Canada. Unfortunately, the rest of their littermates died of exposure, but Sprout and his sister pulled through. We picked them up from the shelter right before Christmas and they made the rounds visiting family with us, even having a run-in with my parents' dog who thought they'd make a nice snack!

Sprout was doing great for a few weeks. He loved to wrestle with and chase his sister. But one day last week we noticed that Sprout seemed really weak and wasn't running around anymore. We couldn't figure out what was wrong but it was clear he wasn't eating. Then I took a look at his mouth and discovered that one of his canine teeth was growing into his gum and cutting it up. The poor little guy couldn't eat because it hurt his mouth too much. So I mixed him up some nice wet-food-and-hot-water smoothies and he slowly gained his strength back over the next couple of days. His tooth will need to be removed eventually but he is still too small to go under anesthesia.

Sprout will be with us for about two more weeks before going back to the Fredericton SPCA to await a forever home.

I believe these two survivors couldn't have landed in a better spot than with #Jill.
Sprout will need to keep to some very fluid infused food until the removal of his problem tooth.
I'm betting after that he will try to make up for lost time
Both these little beauties are just superb and any kitty lover would jump at the chance to welcome them home.
