Karen says: At the same time that I rescued Misty Gray by buying her for $5 from a woman who was selling kittens at a county fair, I also bought Ginger. He was covered with white paint (which I had to cut off with tiny scissors) and like Misty he had really bad upper respiratory infection. After a vet bill and two weeks of TLC, he was much better. Ginger is now my mom's pet. He sits on her lap and sucks on her hand -- I think it's left over from his lost kittenhood. He looks like a wise old man kitty and he has such a sweet personality.

Ginger's sober gentleman side--very appealing. I was worried yesterday about the "second kitty" but afraid to ask. With a little bit of work and loving care, you got two sweet cats for ten bucks. And saved their precious lives.

Yes, she got two sweet cats for 10 bucks, but then consider the vet bills for each of them... It was still a wonderful thing to do, I'm not disagreeing, I'm just saying that it probably ended up being a lot more than the initial $10. :)

I had to log back in for another look at Ginger. He has the cutest face - he looks like he's posing for this photo as a favor to you but thinks it's really a waste of time. I love him!

What a beautiful orange tabby. He looks a bit like my orange tabby Tony. He looks to have a long body and big paws, so he will probably be a big cattie. Thank you Karen for taking care of him and rescuing him from that lady at the fair. I bet your mom is thrilled to have him.

What a gorgeous ginger boy who had such a sad start to life. He must think he's in heaven now, being loved and looked after properly. I'm with you - I would have tried to save some of the kittens too, however many I could have afforded to buy and treat. Thank you for caring enough to ensure Misty and Ginger had better lives.

What an absolutely handsome boy! I do have to ask did anyone say anything to the woman with these cats? It sounds like deplorable conditions; eye infections, paint all over him, I definitely could not have let that go without notifying someone.
