Oleg says: I work in the building materials business in St. Petersburg, Russia, but photography and breeding Abyssinian cats are my hobbies. My Pippi is a very intelligent cat, affectionate with people but strict with other cats. She is the head of pride. :-) Pippi's full name is Lady in Red Charming Angel. Her mother is Fairy Tale Charming Angel and her father is Loup Blanc Hanzo Hattory (from Japan).
Pippi's first litter was born December 2009. They are named Africa (sorrel girl), Alt-Shift (sorrel boy) and Alonso (fawn boy). Their father was Sanabyca Dagaz. Alt-Shift (center) was the leader. The other two were more timid. Alt-Shift still lives in St. Petersburg with a loving family. Here is a photo of him in his new home. Alonso and Africa both live in Moscow.

Wow! I couldn't pick a favourite photo, as each one was better than the last. What an adorable Mom and what lovely little raskels her kittens are. I've never seen a mommy cat hug her babies as much as this mommy does. What a beautiful cat she is and what gorgeous babies.

While they ARE beautiful, why would anyone breed kittens when there are so many perfectly wonderful mixxed breed kittens that are strays and in shelters that need homes. Less pure breds means more shelter and stray kittens get homes. Sorry.

Sigh- always pontificators on the list. You don't know for sure that people who want cats of a particular appearance and personality would EVER want a stray so you can't say for sure there would be fewer strays. Let's not criticize other's choices but enjoy beauty and love where we find it.

These are some of the most beautiful photos I've ever seen on The Daily Kitten. I have had scores of strays, shelter cats, etc., but one day I will happily shell out big bucks to a breeder to have an abbie in my home, if that's what it takes.
