DaTylerMonster says: Dusty and her siblings were born under the hydrangea, in the front yard of my roomies' SCA friends. So no surprise that Dusty's favorite nap spot is in the open window! The friends took Mama Cat and kittens to a mobile vet's. The vet wasn't careful in checking that the door was closed before he opened the box w/ the cat and babies in it. Sadly, Mama Cat made a run for it and did not return to the yard where she had her kittens, so they had to be weaned early. Dusty has decided that I am a perfect Mom substitute and sucks on whatever bit of bare skin she can find, once even my eyelid! I'm trying to break her of this sloppy habit. The friends who fostered her have a 2 yr. old lab and a number of adult cats, so Dusty is not phased by our big cats hissing and growling in the least! She thinks it's great fun to chase them and bite them in the hind end. Skittle has become a little mother and no longer fights with Spats up, keeping Dusty in line takes all of her energy! I call the main picture "Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep." The black kitten is Dusty's sister; she was adopted by the fostering friends.
