Mimi

HHStang says: Mimi is the cat I got after I decided that I would be a dog person for the rest of my life a couple of years ago. I was introduced to cats and learned to love up to seven of them at a time by and with my ex-wife of 20 years. When closing on my first, post-divorce house I noticed a large bag of cat food that was apparently not being taken by the former house owner. I reminded her in a final house tour the day of the closing to not to forget her cat food, to which she replied that was MY cat food. I told her I didn’t have any cats (they went with my ex-) to which she proceeded to tell me “Mimi” came with the house. You know the rest of the story. Mimi started an “M” pet naming rule in my home that she now shares with dogs Max and Maggi. Make no mistake about it though, Mimi rules the roost and is very loved. Showing me how to love cats and care for them is one more thing I will be eternally grateful to my ex- for. She taught me how to grow my heart and love all animals.
