We found Cookie when she was a baby at a car lot. I had to catch her and there was bets on her she was going to scratch me up. I put her in a empty room when I got home and went up to her and had her purring in 5 mins. My husband could not believe it. She is 2 now.
She was rescued by me a 2nd time and this is a funny story. My husband and I decided to go to Olive Garden for dinner. We got in his truck and drove 5 miles into town, stopped at 1 stop sign and 2 traffic lights. Was going 60 down the main HWY. When we stopped at the 3rd light at the intersection beside a" bank of america" I happen to look in the mirror and saw a cat cross the HWY looking like Cookie. I screamed, Baby! that was cookie. I reconized that orange foot from anywhere. He said impossible. She is inside the house. I worried the whole time we were out in town. 3 hours later we got home and first thing I do is start calling for Cookie. SHE IS NOT HOME! I told my Hubby, " I am going to Bank of America and pray she is there. (This is 11:00 PM ).He was so worried she was gone because its has been 3 hours and he is the reason we did not stop and look. When we got there I walked around the grounds, and saw the BIG oak tree and hoping she was in there. I saw some bright sparkling eyes and ran up to the tree. My husband said be careful. Might be a raccoon or other. But it was cookie. I was trying not to cry, I was so happy she waited, she knew I would find her.
How did she get out of the house, and stayed in the truck for so long, and I happen to look in the rear view mirror and see a cat running across the HWY. Weird and LUCKY!
