Rachel says: Vincent and Edward are no longer kittens. They're now three years old, brothers from the same litter. Vincent, the orange one, is and always has been very affectionate, but he still is the boss. As a kitten he always wanted to be on my shoulder, even to sleep. Edward, the tux one, refuses to be an indoor cat and likes climbing trees and sneakily biting people while they sleep. He's a vampire cat.
Their backstory was that they from the litter of a stray rescued by a neighbour. Their mother didn't really have much in the way of nurturing skills. So they weren't quite a month old when we ended up bottle feeding them, and dealing with their eye infections. That's why Vincent was trying to get so close to the pulse in my neck for comfort. He still tries to do that, Edward has always fancied himself as a bit more independent.
Jeez Louise! Everyone has said it already--so cute !And they look just like my kitties did a year ago. Both boys also. Such a pleasure to watch that tusseling in the video--it rarely happens now and when it does, I throw a pillow to startle them out of it.
What adorable little boy-kitties! Vincent sounds like my favorite kind of kitty - cuddly and affectionate. Edward is a typical tuxedo cat - independent and probably too smart for his own good! But he'd be safer inside, so why not get him a tall kitty tower and place it near a window, so he can climb and see the outside in safety?
Intriguing and mysterious photo. It hints at being a mirror reflection until one sees the cats are different. I love it! Sweet kitties too. You're lucky to have these two.
@Rachel or Mary Jane--I was in bliss on the Flickr site till I saw your comment on the "Catboys" no longer being cute! What can you possibly be thinking? Growing up and older is the aim of all living things--every stage has its delights. Your camera shows this. The two of these boys on the couch is actually my favorite shot of all.
My brother is Ed. My mother thinks they a-doooor-bellll. They might be - I am not so much a kitten person as a Girl Cat. But they are quite a-doooor-bellll.
