I think this is a Norwegian Forest Cat. Closely related to Maine Coon, but not quite. Im the proud owner of one of these myself, absolutely lovely. A bit more lively than Maine Coon (or so they say), but gorgeous in so many ways. (Mine is 5 years old, and I have yet to find a knot in his very fluffy and long fur!).

Now that you made that comment about Maine coon and Norwegian forest cat... I have to wonder which I love more? haha.
