Diesel

Erin says: Diesel is a 13-week-old girl who is about the size of an eight-week-old kitten. She was born a barn cat, and was nearly starved from having to compete with the adult cats and three other kittens for food. I took her from the barn when the resident tom started to beat her up, and she was not getting anywhere near enough food. Her tail curls up over her back like a husky, and I think the big guy may have broken it at one point when he was picking on her.

She purrs like a semi truck when she is happy and has just learned how to play. Before, she had no clue! She lives with me and my three parrots, who she likes to watch but knows better than to mess with. Smart as a whip, she got the litter box in one day and has never made a mistake. She has proven that she was supposed to be a housecat! Right now she is sleeping on her back in my lap, purring. If I moved now, she would cry. She is a lover, not a fighter!

What a beautiful little girl! Bless you for caring for Diesel so well. Our rescue, Gidget, came to our back door probably with only another week to two weeks to live because of her malnutrition. We started feeding her, then fell HARD for her and then brought her inside for good. She had been fending for herself for who knows how long, so she has some issues with our big boy, Stevie Raow Vaughn, but she is an absolute joy in our lives now.

Diesel is absolutely gorgeous. What beautiful long shiny black hair with a white shawl, she has. Glad that she is getting lots to eat now. Wonderful story.
