Eva says: Ralphie is being fostered by my friend Lisacat. I happened to photograph him at our adoption event. He did not find a home that day so he is still available for adoption in Brooklyn, NY.

Eva, thank you for the work you do. I checked the Staten Island site and was heartbroken at the poor little waifs posted--so unlike the catties on GMK, frightened and unfluffy. Cats need to be homed and cherished.

So sweet! It's amazing what a good pic can do to help a kitty get adopted. Some shelters will allow volunteers to come in and socialize with the cat to calm them, then take pics for their website. If you have time check with your local shelter to see if they will allow this. Or even socializing with the cats will make them less fearful and more adoptable. Blessings.

What a great looking little guy. If I were in NY, I would adopt Ralphie right away. Sadly, I'm on the West Coast. My fingers are crossed that he finds a forever home soon.

I have 2 babies I am fostering right now. Sarah is 9 months old--black with beautiful green eyes. Her kitten (unfortunately she was a teenage mom) Pookie is black with big copper eyes. Fingers crossed that they go to a home together since they are so closely bonded.

Couldn't resist this picture of Ralphie all dressed up in what looks to be Amazonite! Very chic! My daughter has a black cat named Frankie that looks just like Ralphie. Black cats are wonderful pets but need to be homed carefully as there are nuts out there that think of them as "devil" cats to be abused.

Poor little guy, Ralphie. He looks so sad here in this photo. I wish that black cats were more adoptable, as they make such wonderful pets.
