Carmelynn says: Lucy was just an itty bitty kitty -- eyes just opening -- when she was thrown into a dumpster by some horrible person. A kind passerby pulled her out and brought her to my friend Joy, who is a Maine Coon cat breeder. Joy took Lucy in and has been fostering her for the past several weeks. They are in the Chandler, Arizona, area. Now Lucy needs a permanent home. Anyone interested in adopting this darling baby can contact Joy through the Daily Kitten. Update: Joy and her family decided they couldn't part with Lucy and kept her. We're happy to report she is now part of Joy's family!

The bowl of food is bigger than Miss Lucy. She is adorable and I love her bushy tail. So happy that she found a forever home with Joy. Horrible person that threw her away, people can be so horrid at times.

isn't that how a lot of fosters find their furever home. just can't bear to part with them once they have been fed & loved. thats why my three boys all stayed with me. she is a very pretty girl.

How could anyone be so cruel as to throw a live animal (a baby) into a dumpster. It will never cease to amaze me. Thank you so much for saving this precious little animal.

Such an adorable little girl! I often wonder why God doesn't destroy mankind and leave this beautiful world to the animals...they are much more deserving than we are. Thank you for saving her and a pox on the person who threw her away! I have 3 failed fosters and soon to be 4....
