mightymarce says: We adopted little Nev (short for Mademoiselle Nevada Norcier des Quattre-Pattes) from the Humane Society a couple months ago. She is a playful kitty who loves to attack my husband's socked feet, then curls up to sleep in bed with us at night. She is also quite the purr machine. I love how well she gets along with our toddler -- he pets her gently and loves to lay near her, and she in turn rubs up against his legs and sits by the tub next to him during bath time. She doesn't even mind when he dumps a cupful of water on her. Clearly, we picked the right kitten to adopt. =P

Looks like a satin kitty. Sure makes me miss my good ol' BO who was an all black cat too. Black cats are lucky in my book. Glad this one has found a good home and your son and it get along so well.

Excellent story! Mlle. Nevada is precious. We too have a toddler who has been taught since birth to "pet the kitten nicely" and she does. Our Dylan doesn't play with her like Nev does with your little boy, but he will sit next to her and purr while she strokes him.

It is wonderful that Nev and your son have such a wonderful bond. They will hopefully be lifelong friends. And you are teaching your son from an early age the joys and responsibilities of having a feline member of the family!
