lovinkat says: This little tortoiseshell kitten is Margaret. She's one of the few kitties my colleague Laurel had in her yard this year now that so many of the strays in her neighborhood have been spayed/neutered. I have never really been much for the tortie coat pattern, but this cat had me at 'mew.' She came here for a temporary stay but may become a permanent fixture if I don't find her another family. Truth be told, I'm not working too hard to find one. From the first evening she arrived, she's been in hot pursuit of my adult cats. She won each of them over with her charm in less than a week. She's not as interested in the humans, but a little bit of colored string and a handful of treats has helped bridge the gap. Her favorite thing, paws down, is my nearly three-year-old orange tabby Julius. She waits for him to come through the cat door on the service porch at mealtime. She jumps to her feet, mewing, and rushes him to rub her face on his neck. He's almost as equally absorbed with her too. I can't imagine separating them now.
