Maine Coon Kittens in Spain

Barbarella says: These are not my kittens -- they belong to Carol, a breeder in a town called Tías on the island of Lanzarote (one of the Canary Islands), and she has appointed me her "official kitten photographer." I don't know all their names, but they are all pure Maine Coons. Carol will be selling the kittens to loving owners. She will probably keep one or two herself though.

I tried, really I tried. But I couldn't pick a favorite shot. Maine Coons are so wonderful and substantial. Never forgotten. Mine was Jackie Mouse.

Very cute, but I wish we wouldn't breed cats. There are SO SO SO many unwanted stray cats in the world. We don't need to make cats to sell. Please ADOPT cats instead of breeding them. Thanks!

My enormously large older cat-bro is a Maine Coon, or at least he looks like he is one. He is gorgeous. I always wondered what he may have looked like as a kitten. Sweet!

While I agree there are way too many animals out there that need homes, I think there's also a place for breeders. Some breeds are better for people with allergies, more laid back, etc. I think they should have to be a licensed/registered so there's no abuse and there's only a limited number.

Sorry, More Kittens 4 Me, but we can barely get people to spay and neuter their pets much less regulate and register breeders and put caps on how much they produce.

If you volunteer at a shelter or animal rescue 4 days a week you quickly see how HUGE and heartbreaking this problem is.
Please adopt.

Agree. All cats are precious, all lives are, stray or pedigree regardless. With so many strays needing good homes, please stop breeding and adopt.

I agree with Michelle. As an SPCA volunteer and a cat foster mom and someone trying to trap/neuter/release a whole feral colony in my neighborhood, I can tell you firsthand how bad the problem is in some areas. Please rescue, please adopt, please have your animals fixed. It is the most humane thing you can do.

And P.S. - My family was adopted by a stray Maine Coone when I was 3 years old. She lived for 19 years and was the loveliest cat I ever had the privilege to know. These kitten pics bring back wonderful memories of her.

I have a Maine Coon Mama cat named Lynx. She was pregnant when she walked up my driveway. She had 6 beautiful babies. I gave 2 to my friend and still have 4. They are the sweetest babies. Some gray and some brown stripes.
