I couldn't agree with you more. :) I got both of my beloved beebs from shelters. Shelter kitties are always the ones people remember when they think of the greatest cats they've ever known, because their personalities are incomparable... probably because they know they've been given a second shot!

What pretty kitties, I love the grey and tan one. All my three came from rescue shelters - and they (of course!) are all gorgeous too! A timely reminder to support your local shelters and take on a friend for life.

I volunteer at a cat shelter, and I LOVE it! I've met so many precious cats there (and I've gotten my 3 beautiful cats from shelters, too).

They are all beautiful, but I love the little grey calico girl. All my cats have come from shelters (except one who was a farm cat). They have all had wonderful personalities and responded to the love they were given with so much love back.

What beautiful kittens - I hope people will go to the shelters and adopt. Our little kitty came from a backyard litter so she is a rescue too. We had the Mama cat spayed - we feed her and give her shelter but she won't come inside. I also volunteer at a local shelter.

I've known of this site for just over a year now. I have 2 12 year old calico sisters so I've been reluctant to foster since my old girls are stuck in their way. But from the last couple weeks, this site has finally convinced me to foster. I needs to be done. Thanks Daily Kitten.

I hope someone adopts these cute little babies!! They are so adorable!! I got my babies from a shelter also! That is the only way to go. Shelter kitties seem to be so adorable and cuddly like they know you rescued them and wanted them furever!!

I am going to foster too! We got our Ninja at a the city animal control. You dont want to know what happens there. We are looking to adopt another kitty to keep him company this year! These kitties are adorable and hope they found forever homes.

Beautiful babies are at shelters. That's where I got mine. I also rescued one that was abandoned in the snow last year. Please spread the word about the importance of spay and neuter everyone! Love these pictures, they're adorable!

I have two cats that are rescues and I took in two feral kittens this past spring - the adults finally accommodated for the babies and we're a happy family now. Can't imagine life without any of these four characters!

Yes, what a wonderful New Year's resolution to make: Help the kitties! Go ask your local shelter or animal organization, they are always looking for help in many different ways.

Yes, the babies are all adorable and all need and deserve forever homes, but, PLEASE, don't forget the grownup cats who also need homes. When I lost my last baby after 14 years I thought I also wanted another shelter kitten, but, Smokey made me see the light! She was already 3 years old but I could not refuse her pleading to be taken home. Now I cannot imagine life without her.

Loved the reminder to adopt older shelter cats! When I lost my 17 yr.old, I adopted a 2 yr. old male and a 9 week old female. Most loving cats EVER! Also got my Mom and Dad to adopt a 10 yr. old boy and he's the king of the castle now! Thank you to all the foster parents out there for taking some of the pressure off the shelters!

I have always been one to rescue, rather than purchase, save my one baby girl, who was I purchased from a pets store. Why she and her sister were there, I'll never know. They were both just over 4 weeks old, and had been with the pet store for 2 weeks. When I got her, I wasn't at the store to get a kitten (I was there for hamster supplies:) ) but when I saw her, and that her sister was being adopted, I just couldn't leave her there to face god only knows what. So I wrote a bad check and took her home:)
