mouseleaves says:
Twink was a feral kitten, rescued and fostered by a volunteer at the local shelter. At the shelter, she was very shy and mostly hid behind her two siblings. I remember the foster "mother" saying she was concerned for Twink, since many people don't find asymmetrical facial markings pretty.
I thought she was *perfect* (still do...). She came into my life just after I lost my grey boy, Shadow. I feel like she needed me as much as I needed her.
Now, after several years together, she fills my days with conversational purrs, sun-naps and gentle companionship. She even keeps me on schedule - giving me "the look" and then causing clever trouble when I'm late for something she wants! She doesn't like being alone, and comes looking if she loses sight of me. Sometimes she wedges herself between my husband and me at 3am!
