Jaime says: I picked up four little guys from the
Rancho Cucamonga Animal Care & Adoption Center on February 8, 2011. They were around two to three weeks old. We did not know their history, but I was told that they'd been left outside an industrial building inside of a cardboard box. My theory is that someone's cat had kittens and the owner didn't want to deal with it so they decided to dispose of them. Luckily, a good samaritan stumbled upon them and they ended up with me! They were very healthy, and had no fleas or any dirt. They were just a little messy due to being in a box and having to sit in their own filth for probably less than a day. Anyway, they got their first baths and settled in quickly! They were probably some of the messiest kittens I've ever had -- and this was my 12th foster litter! I actually had to put them in a crate for a few weeks to control them and their craziness… haha! Once they were around five weeks old they started to behave better and grew into such funny little lovebugs. They stayed healthy the entire time they were with me, so needless to say I was thankful.
I hate choosing favorites, but I'd be lying if I said Armani wasn't my favorite of this litter. Talk about a sweet cuddlebug! I've never in my life seen such a loving baby before, and all this boy wanted was to be with you and be held. He LOVED being held. He didn't care how, either. Infact, he often preferred just sitting in the palm of one hand while he groomed himself. When I'd walk into the room, he'd run over to me and literally sit on his hind legs and practically beg for me to pick him up!
Armani and his siblings were ready to go back for adoption at the end of March, and I said my goodbyes to them on March 28. Don't worry though, all four were adopted so quickly that they never even made it onto the Web site. That made me very happy. :-) I don't know if Armani or any of his sisters were adopted together or not, but for him it wouldn't have mattered, just so long as he had a new owner that was simply willing to love on him.
